Aggregating Masonry

In 2016 I was part of Russel Baldon’s course Production Furniture at CCA. I was interested in creating a kind of aggregating planter that was attractive, durable and fun to arrange. The shape of the planter was derived from the tile work found in an Islamic church - though I know it can be traced to many sources. The cement planters were cast in custom molds with various dry pigments to create a variety of colored and textured objects.
